Joy of Organic Aromatherapy
Organic aromatherapy or regular aromatherapy is treatment for the body, mind, and soul achieved with the use of essential oils extracted from natural plants and herbs. This treatment has helped human beings since the beginning of mankind to heal diseases as well as induce mental well being which is vitally important in our stressful times. Feel the Difference
Organic aromatherapy oils are extracted from the plants that are grown naturally without any exposure to pesticides or any other such chemicals. As such these oils do not contain any kind of chemicals stemming from pesticides and which can cause irritation and/or allergies.
It is for this reason that the organic aromatherapy oil is considered to be of better quality then the non organic oil.
However, there is no actual scientific evidence to prove that organic oil is better then the regular oil or that it acts in any way different; some even argue that pesticides do not appear in oils and thus one has nothing to worry about.
Organic aromatherapy oils will usually cost more due to the nature of their growth. Vendors of such essential oils will advise you that the quality is superior regarding its healing powers and health benefits since no chemicals have come in contact with the plants, but make sure that you certify that it is organic, and don't just take the word of the salesperson.
Today there are a number of different methods used to extract oil from plants and they are:
- Distillation
- Solvent action
- Carbon dioxide pressure
Each of these methods produces a different type of organic aromatherapy oils which are:
- Infused oils
- Resins
- Absolutes
- CO2
- Carrier oils
In ancient Egypt it was recorded that the Egyptians were the first people to use a distillation machine to extract liquid from plants. They used the extracts primarily to make perfume and of course healing potions.
Aromatherapy is a very old treatment that has never failed to deliver the desired results. People use it for many reasons from just enhancing the house atmosphere to healing serious diseases; however what it is most popular for is relieving stress - something that we all have dealt with at one time in our lives.
Organic aromatherapy is something one should indulge in as often as you have a chance to enhance the well being of your body, mind and soul. It is all natural and beneficial to the whole family including your pets.
